Evolve 97mm Street Wheels

As I wrote in my other review, great street wheels. Relatively soft and grippy, big enough at 97mm, and the new ice colors look great.

So, this Gen1 Stoke I just purchased marks my TENTH Evolve board. Yep, I'm an addict. Got the 97mm ice orange along with Gold Supercarve 2 trucks to do a "Gold Edition" upgrade to the Stoke.

Not super easy (requires some cutting/fabrication of the motor plates), but an AWESOME upgrade. Besides looking amazing, this upgrade has transformed the Stoke 1 from a darty, nervous, and frankly somewhat-unsafe feeling ride to a planted, stable, and confidence-inspiring ride. Night and day difference - besides looking absolutely awesome.

Wheels are fairly soft and compliant being 76A, grip great, and are big enough to roll comfortably over pavement imperfections. The only wheels I like slightly more are my 105mm Dad Bods. But these are great. And at the sale price I snagged them for, an absolute bargain. Highly recommended.

See my YT channel (CoolWatts) for the build video on this upgrade, and other DIY battery/PEV/e-skate stuff.

Reasonable quick to dispatch and deliver.

I originally bought these wheels at the Evolve store because I thought they looked cool… Little did I know when I put them on? They actually worked quite well on parking lots… I’m just beginning in the world of skateboarding so I have a lot to learn, but I did notice that these wheels have some give for a little bit of slide if you want to slide your carves… I’m not good enough to do that yet, but I’m getting there… Besides that I like all the colors… I own the yellow and white ones :)

Great Product, fast delivery, good price.

Party tires wanted something different. Try something there was using 105 not much of a size difference to go down to, but I thought the ride was a lot better great through his entire heats up all the bumps using all my carbon board gear drive love these tires. My only thoughts are they should make some Keagle tires Instead of all Abec I have another deer dry board that I only have Keagle adapters for. Would love to try it on that but great tire would recommend have about hundred miles on them no issues.

Love the green. Someday this rides gunna end

What an excellent upgrade to the onirique. Those pesky joins in the concrete have nothing on these bad boys. Better top speed.. Recommend

Great wheels glow great

The quality of material and finish of product is excellent. No issues with chunking or discoloration. Wheels look and feel well balanced.
These wheels are very slide friendly and any kind bump or little pebble in the road will break the wheels’ traction.
That being said. People that are able to control slides will love this wheel. If you are not looking to slide, then I wouldn’t recommend this wheel.

Evolve 97s are VERY underrated. If you are a true street shredder, and u want american made good quality thane wheels that arent too big and not too small, these are a great choice ! Many colors too!

Great lasting, smooth rolling and great grip

I have had them for around 6-8 months they have helled up great a part from a chip in one wheel do to my riding still the quality is outstanding I got the ice blue wheels and for sume reasen they glow green in the dark it faint and dosent last long but is notis able for 10 seconds big plus and look like ther made from water when riding in the rain .very very smooth even when going 60kmh down a hill im 13 and 45kgs and are on the way to by new bushings and will rewe

The wheels are B.I.G & amazing . Outstanding SK8 dealer " 10 🌟 star seller " packed with care , very helpful staff. An Affordable product , Hard to believe the price . Postage was quick . perfect transaction. Toooooo easy . * The wheels are going on my drop down deck once I receive it . A-big Thank you too eevolve Australia Inc for the Awesome service you provided me.

Wheels are good price is okay but evolve likes the rip you off on shipping so they get 1 star I wanted these for a while but almost did buy them cause shipping was just retarded because they put the wheels cheap but add extra dollars to shipping thinking ppl won’t notice kinda pissed me off so they get one star for that bullshit

Disappointed. I wanted to try the wheels but they didnt fit my Meepo board. Im really bummed that return shipping/handling isnt provided. Im not sure I would purchase from evolve again, but I hate paying S/H especially if the item doesnt work.

Charge up in sunlight , cool 😎at night 🤩

I bought these 97mm evolve wheels to give them a try over the 105mm Orangatang. Dad Bods I had on my kick push Loaded Fathom and I am very impressed. Great value nice and soft and extremely grippy and they look great. They have a nice glow too them . Not super bright but subtle. No chunking easier to push than the larger Dad bods 105mm . More stable . Still great rollover cracks and stones . I can’t give an appraisal on an electric skateboard but for anyone with a standard longboard I highly recommend. Richard

Seam pretty good however be aware that the blue wheels will get dirty very quickly

Increased my board speed substantially, very happy with the purchase

At first I avoided them and got my Hadean with the 107. after a while I saw all the reviews so got set for my DIY gt and those wheels are really really good!
a lot of grip on hard carving, giving smooth ride almost as the 107 but weight much less. Evolve also brought the solution for the most annoying problem, the wheel come out without the pulley so you can replace colors by your mood easy if you buy few sets.

I did get what I ordered I got ice blue wheels not the glow wheels sadly

Very good wheels, provide excellent grip and comfort and yes they do glow in the dark.

i hate big chunky wheels, and tiny wheels just aren’t practical. 97mm is the sweet spot. the quality, the looks, and the grip and sliding capabilities are awesome. love alll the colors too. so even if u dont have a evolve board, and u want to use these wheels, i highly suggest them!

I put these on my GT one, upgrading from the standard 83’s. I done this due to the ruff footpaths and horrible gutters around my town. Since changing my time spent on my board is so much more enjoyable. These wheels give me more confidence, comfort and control on the ruff sections I am forced to skate on at times.

Immediately slapped the ice orange on my new Carbon GTR and it looks amazing - love it! Super smooth ride and handling all together fantastic wheels. Would love to see 90mm size. They keep momentum extremely well so long as you have good bearings (Evolve stock bearings are super) and is a literal blast to carve downhill with -- highly recommended!!

These ice blue, 97mm wheels are the best! Combined with the teak gtr deck! It turns heads that’s for sure, highly recommend!!

Awesome - so smooth.

They look fantastic and have a really smooth roll. The best longboard wheels I have ever had. Just when you think Evolve can't get any better, they do...
