Strong, durable and with the same design since gtr 1 days (ornearlier). The hardest choice is which colour to pick!

Did the job

I just replaced all 4 of mine with the carbon fibre ones, they look awesome

Visited their new store to buy some new hubs and wheels, as always the service was impeccable and the products are always of the highest quality

I rode my mighty Hadean, bold and fast,
Wind in my hair, having a blast.
Then crack! — a sound I didn’t adore,
A chunk of hub said, “I live here no more.”

Mid-ride drama, not part of the plan,
Gravity whispered, “Good luck, my man.”
I wobbled, I wiggled, I kept it upright,
Mentally drafting my email that night.

To Evolve Skateboards I wrote with grace,
Explaining my hub had left its place.
No flames, no pitchforks, no angry mobs—
Just photos of my hub’s early retirement job.

To their credit, they didn’t delay,
They stepped right in and saved the day.
Replacement sent, smooth and clean,
Customer service like a well-oiled machine.

Now I’m back carving streets once more,
Trust rebuilt — and maybe reinforced at the core.
So yes, a chunk once made a break,
But props to the team for fixing my skate.

Five stars? I’d say they earned their stripe—
Though next time, dear hub, please hold on tight.

Decent hubs for the price. Well balanced

Yes they look great, installed easily as usual, however the bearing holder is approx 0.3mm larger than the bearing diameter (new Evolve bearing and old original bearings tested). Doesnt sound a lot, but that equates to about 8mm sideways travel at the tread. This was way more than the 3mm gap between the tyre and the belt cover. Current solution is a layer of masking tape around the bearing, slightly overlapped on the inside edge to hold the tape from working out.

New wheels look really good and they were on special so thought why not. However I notice the bearing are not firm in the wheel and the wheel rattles slightly. Original 7 year old wheels were the same so that one reason I bought new ones. I also bought new Speed Balls bearings to fit and they are the ones they are loose. Not a huge issue but throught they would be a tighter fit.

No issues these are great , ordered a set extra ones to have fully assembled off roads while keeping AT on the board

Great price, however the bearing hole is slightly too big and aren’t as good as my series 1 GTR hubs.

Wheels look good and were easy to instal, just time consuming.

They are only dipped however, causing any small scratch or scuff to take off the colouring and leaving black underneath. Is there no chance these can be made so they keep their colour all the way through?

Bought them in orange and lime green. The colors are awsome and the counter weight opposite the valvestem is genius making them easy to balance with less weight. The problem with them is the bearings don't snap in tight resulting in the bearings slapping around inside the hub making a claking noise. Left an email with evolve explaining what was happening and never got a response. I'll be returning them and not buying anything from Evolve again as I believe they don't have respect for my money or my time.

What can I say? With Evolve the products are always top notch and the service is excellent. The all terrain hubs work and look great.

This review pertains only to the the Relay hubs, not the Surge hubs...those are fine.

The bearing seats in my Relay hubs are not manufactured to correct tolerances, so the bearings fit too loosely causing what is otherwise a premium board to sound like a bucket of bolts unless the bearings are secured with a retaining compound.
I have five of the lime green Relay hubs and they all have the same issue. Unfortunately certain gearing options are only available in the Relay format, otherwise I would stick to the Surge hubs.
Perhaps my expectations are too high, but it's a bit disappointing...

i use this wheels with 7 inch tire on my Hadean using 47T gear

I really like these hubs they’re very lightweight. I do wish they were aluminum for a little more durability, but they seem to hold up well.

Fruit tingles almost lickable. Great quality and easy to install

Added some colour with the funky yellow hubs

When buying my carbon GTR, I wanted it to stand out a little bit when seeing these viper wheels I absolutely love them. Couldn’t be happier.
